This special type of vane pack consists of vanes forming wide channels that straighten the chaotic gas flow entering the vessel.
As the gas passes through the rectifier, the flow is calmed and straightened. This ensures proper flow distribution at the inlet of the downstream separator.

It is important to note that the rectifier is not designed to separate liquid droplets from the gas flow, but only to calm and straighten the flow.
Gas flow rectifiers are often installed above a parallel plate pack to intercept and redirect the gas flow. A deflector is usually installed upstream of the rectifier to intercept the gas and direct it into the rectifier.
